New Work: Hanh Merriman - Life In Travel

all images © Nick Prendergast

For this shoot with travel and fashion blogger Hanh Merriman, I knew I wanted to highlight both sides of her blog Life In Travel when picking a location. After tossing concepts back and forth, I asked Hanh what she thought about shooting outside of and aboard a private plane. She loved the idea, and happened to have a contact with access to a luxurious Gulf Stream jet at an airport in Addison, TX. This was such a fun shoot and Hanh was a fantastic subject. My thanks to Modern Luxury for the assignment.

Roots Picnic - Arrival

Just flew back in from a trip to Philly where I had the privilege to shoot backstage at the 4th Annual Roots Picnic. I'll post some of the portraits soon, but I thought in the meantime I'd post this pic of me the morning of The Picnic, having just grabbed the gear off the baggage claim. What a great trip/shoot!

NYC, How I Miss Thee...

It's been a while since I've had a chance to visit New York, and I'm thinking it's about time I head back east. Fall seems like a good time to see some old friends, set up some portfolio showings, and swing by my favorite optical shop, MOSCOT, for a pair of these:

Europe Trip: Poros, Greece

Poros was my favorite place we visited in Europe. It's a small fishing town in the southern part of the Saronic Gulf. The weather is amazing, the beaches are beautiful, and the people are warm and welcoming.
